This year, 40+ expert speakers, 50+ exhibitors and over 500 professionals — from first responders to mining professionals, from utilities providers to enterprise end users, from manufacturers to developers — are expected to take part in this highly targeted and energised event. The conference will see concepts not previously included in the conference program and technologies on the show floor that are being displayed by exhibitors for the very first time.
Guest Speaker - TJ Kennedy, President of FirstNet, USA
TJ Kennedy was one of the first leaders to join the FirstNet team in July of 2013 and now serves as President of the organisation.
TJ is an experienced executive with a unique leadership background that includes technology expertise and coalition building as well as hands-on public safety experience in police, fire and emergency medical services. After starting his career in public safety, he advanced to senior-level positions in Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to joining the FirstNet Senior leadership team, Mr. Kennedy was the Director, Public Safety and Security for Raytheon Company, and was President of JPS Communications, a subsidiary focused on radio interoperability solutions.
While working with the Utah Department of Public Safety, Mr. Kennedy served as a state trooper and was on the SWAT/Special Operations team. He was also a flight paramedic with Intermountain Life Flight in Salt Lake City and is a past president of the International Association of Flight and Critical Care Paramedics. Mr. Kennedy was a firefighter and a paramedic for Park City Fire District, and graduated from the University of Utah.

Nominees must fall under one or more categories:
- an industry professional who has made a significant contribution to the radio industry;
- an apprentice or new talent who has achieved well above expectations;
- an industry professional who has developed an innovation that provides increased opportunity or value to the industry;
- an industry professional who has developed initiatives in training or similar areas that benefit the entire industry within the state
